About

Founded in late 2024, Frontier reflects my decade-long fascination with the future of technology, sparked by reading The Singularity is Near in 2009. We are going to live through profound change. Artificial intelligence will reshape industries, governments, and fundamental aspects of our way of life. It’s heady stuff, even scary. My aim is to help readers interpret the disorienting events that lie ahead—while also clarifying my own understanding along the way.

This is also an experiment in AI-human collaboration. I use AI models extensively—for research, ideation, writing, editing, design, illustration, and fact-checking. This project would frankly not be possible without these models. Everything gets sped up and unstuck. As these systems grow more capable, they will contribute directly to intellectual discourse.

I view Frontier as a permanent side affair. With a full-time job and other ventures, I anticipate a cadence of one to two pieces monthly. My goal is to mostly ignore analytics and let my genuine interests guide the work.

I value simplicity and want to break from familiar patterns. I’m not planning on doing podcasts or newsletters. No perks, no bonus content. No pop-ups or interruptions. I won’t ask for your cookies, and I won’t advertise. But I will ask you to fund Frontier. Subscriptions are $87 monthly if you can easily afford it, $14 if not. If you genuinely value what Frontier is doing, vote with your dollars. Exercise your power to shape the media landscape. That’s the arrangement I’d like, and I hope you do too.
